GIALOS BEACH

Gialos Beach, located about 300 meters from our accommodation, is one of the most popular and easily accessible beaches on Ios Island. It offers a beautiful stretch of sand and clear waters, making it ideal for families and swimmers of all ages. The beach is well organized, featuring sunbeds, umbrellas, and a variety of beach bars and restaurants where visitors can enjoy refreshments and traditional Greek cuisine.

IOS TOWN

Chora, the capital of Ios Island, is a picturesque Cycladic town known for its traditional whitewashed houses, narrow winding streets, and vibrant atmosphere. Built amphitheatrically on a hill overlooking the island, Chora offers stunning panoramic views of the Aegean Sea, especially during sunset. The town is characterized by its charming architecture, featuring blue-domed churches, colorful bougainvillea, and small squares filled with cafés and shops.

During the day, visitors can explore historical landmarks such as the Church of Panagia Gremiotissa, one of the most photographed spots on the island, and the Archaeological Museum, which showcases artifacts from Ios’ ancient past. Chora is also believed to be the burial place of the ancient Greek poet Homer, attracting history enthusiasts.

MYLOPOTAS BEACH

Mylopotas is one of the most famous and vibrant beaches on Ios Island and it’s located 4 km away from Olga’s. It is known for its long stretch of soft golden sand and crystal-clear blue waters. The beach is well organized, offering sunbeds, umbrellas, and a wide range of facilities that make it suitable for both relaxation and entertainment.

Mylopotas Beach is particularly popular among young travelers because of its lively atmosphere and variety of activities. Visitors can enjoy water sports such as jet skiing, windsurfing, paddleboarding, and snorkeling.
